‘Scorpion’
What will happen to Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas), Walter (Elyes Gabel), Sylvester (Ari Stidham), Happy (Jadyn Wong), Paige (Katharine McPhee) and Cabe (Robert Patrick) in “Scorpion” Season 4? CBS

The filming for “Scorpion” Season 4 is rumored to start on Monday, July 10.

A fan-made Instagram account for the hit CBS series posted a cast photo of the “Scorpion” stars with creator Nick Santora. In the caption, the user claimed that the filming for the show will kick off this week and added that there are only 78 days before Season 4 premieres. Last month, the network announced that the series will air its first episode on Sept. 25.

However, the Elyes Gabel-starrer will immediately go on a long hiatus and will return on Oct. 30 for episode 2. According to Spoiler TV, the second episode will be titled “More Extinction.” Unfortunately, other details regarding the installment are still being kept under wraps. The same publication also confirmed that Season 4, episode 1 is called “Extinction.”

One of the major storylines from the series would have to do with Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Happy’s (Jadyn Wong) relationship. While speaking with TV Line, Santora said that it’s possible for Toby and Happy to consider having a baby now that they are already married. “Like all things, answers can be found in elementary school: First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes something in a baby carriage,” he said.

The executive producer added that a pregnancy storyline is a natural progression for the newlyweds for Season 4. “One of my favorite speeches of the season was when Happy said she always wanted to wait outside the school for her kid. She still wants that, and Toby wants that,” he said.

Elsewhere, Walter (Elyes Gabel) and Paige (Katharine McPhee) would also have to deal with their relationship. In Season 3, the couple finally confessed their feelings for each other. However, Walter struggled with adjusting to their status since he has a hard time expressing his feelings. Paige, on the other hand, also had to deal with Walter’s weaknesses. According to Santora, Walter and Paige had to wait three seasons before they could get together for the sake of the show.

“What we’ve always known, since the pilot episode, is that once the unrequited became requited, the nature of the relationship would change, and, so would the show to some degree,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.
