Senior Citizen Flash Mob: 'Last Christmas' at Target [VIDEO]

A group of senior citizens has taken the term flash mob to a whole new level.

Last week, at a Target store in Lawrence, Kansas, the flash mobbers -- hailing from the Meadlowlark Estates retirement community -- delivered quite the holiday treat for fellow shoppers.

The leader of the pack, a woman in a silver sparkly shirt with a giant heart ornament around her neck, begins dancing and waving her arms to Last Christmas (the Glee cast version). Her back-up dancers quickly follow, repeating the same arm-waving motion, while displaying huge grins on their faces.

Then enters a man -- the only male flash mobber of the performance -- who one can only assume is the man who gave her heart away (following the story line of the song).

The entire performance, set against the familiar red-themed Target backdrop, complete with shopping carts, Christmas aisles and store signs, has made its way to YouTube, attracting more than 440,000 views in less than one week. The video has also received hundreds of comments.

I would like to see more attention paid to senior citizens. They have so much to offer, be it flash mobs, wisdom, experience, etc. it's nice to see them getting in on the action, wrote YouTube user BrendaBoo68.

Others also suggested that the seniors should star in the next Target commercial.

Flash mobs at Target stores across the country are not new. In fact, a simple search of Target flash mob on YouTube spills out flash mob performances from a Beyoncé-inspired End of Time dance number to a Thriller themed routine. There are also some boycott Target videos in the mix.
