'Sharknado'
"Sharknado 2: The Second One" will be released in 2014. Syfy

The “Sharknado” sequel has a title and it's not nearly as exciting as everyone thought it would be. With creative (and downright crazy) titles being posted on Twitter, SyFy has ended up with the title: “Sharknado 2: The Second One.”

Thomas Vitale, the executive vice president of programming at SyFy, released the following statement:

"Since Twitter played such a huge role in the success of the original movie, we wanted to use that platform to ask our fans to name 'Sharknado 2.' This response is another reminder of how 'Sharknado' has become a pop culture phenomenon. We want to thank all our viewers for their wonderful contributions to keeping up the shark-mentum."

Fans will have to keep patiently waiting for the plot line of “Sharknado 2: The Second One,” but Tara Reid teased viewers in late July that she heard that the sequel would be about dino-sharks. Radio Times, who interviewed Tara Reid, cleverly titled the supposed plot “Sharknado 2: Dinosharknado.”

“There’s talk that the whole family gets together again and we go to Aspen and there’s, like, global warming as we’re skiing, all of a sudden it goes from -20 to 90 degrees,” explained Reid. “The glaciers come down and there’s, like, dinosaur sharks and they come alive again and they’re eating everyone. And because of all the water coming down the mountain they’re like, killing people in the street.”

“Sharknado 2: The Second One” will be released in 2014. What do you think of the title? Let us know in the comments section.
