Rapper Snoop Dogg debuted his first non-fungible token collection, titled Decentral Eyes Dogg, minted in collaboration with digital artist Ryan Colditz (Coldie) on an Ethereum-based digital art market, SuperRare Tuesday.

The NFT is a portrait of Snoop Dogg created by collaging 10 different images of his face throughout his life into a new decentralized portrait animation, according to its description on SuperRare.

Snoop recorded new audio exclusively for this artwork to add that swagger and put the signature Snoop touch on top, the description added.

The NFT aims to preserve the heritage of Snoop Dogg and demonstrate his historical contribution to the hip-hop industry. The artist behind the NFT took to Twitter to announce that it is now available for auction.

The NFT was minted on the digital art market on Nov 29 at 7:15 p.m. UTC and will remain up for auction on SuperRare until Dec. 3. As of 12:58 a.m. ET, the highest bid was 169 Ether (ETH) which amounts to $7,44,612.31.

“Over the last year, I have become a collector, a creator and a collaborator of art on the blockchain. This technology has inspired me to rethink how I work and release my art into the world," Snoop Dogg told Fadmagazine.

“You don’t just see it, you feel it, and you hear it. You digg. I want this piece to stand out as a representation of my vision in the metaverse. It’s Decentralized, Decentral eyes,” Snoop added. The work will be on view during Miami Art Week.

However, Snoop Dogg is not the first hip-hop artist to jump on the NFT bandwagon. One of the all-time greatest rappers, Eminem, also released his first NFT collection earlier this year titled SHADYCON via Nifty Gateway.
