The happy ending that Jane Gloriana Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) had with her husband, Michael Cordero (Brett Dier), was short lived after he passed away months after their wedding in “Jane the Virgin” Season 3.

To remember Michael by, Jane wrote the novel, “Snow Falling.” In it, she gave herself and Michael the ending they truly deserved. Jane is on the verge of releasing the historical romance novel this Season 4 as she figures out what the book’s cover art will be, and it’s sure to be on the fictitious bestseller list for months to come.

For fans who are bummed that “Snow Falling” isn’t real, show creator and executive producer Jennie Snyder Urman has some good news. According to Mashable, Jane’s novel will also be published in real life. Urman and “Jane the Virgin” writer Madeline Hendricks wrote the novel’s outline and laid out the story’s plot points, while “One Summer Night” author Caridad Pineiro wrote the final result.

“I’m so thrilled that Adams Media as Lorden + Gregor is bringing Jane’s first novel to life and I can’t wait for fans to get to read it!” Urban said in a statement. “Prepare to get swept up in an epic love story.”

“We’re huge fans of the show and the way Jennie and her team tease ‘reality’ in such a fantastic and purposeful way,” added Adams Media VP and Publisher Karen Cooper. “It just felt right that we should riff off that conceit and give Jane’s fans the HEA they have been waiting for.”

The novel is described as “a sweeping historical romance set in 1902 Miami — a time of railroad tycoons, hotel booms, and exciting expansion for The Magic City.”

In the show, Jane has fallen back in love with her first love, Adam Alvaro (Tyler Posey). Urman said Adam is exactly the guy Jane needs in her life right now because he has taught her how to loosen up and have some fun.

“He has a more youthful energy, he’s a less planned person. He’s at a different point in his career. Part of his energy is reminding Jane she’s only 28 years old and she still has a lot of youth let in her,” Urman told Variety.

It seems like Adam has already dominated Jane’s heart this season, but Urman said fans shouldn’t be quick to write off her baby daddy Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni) just yet. “You can’t rule out Jane and Rafael and their connection. You’ll have to watch and see… I will say there are some pretty romantic moments this season,” she told Deadline.

“Jane the Virgin” Season 4 airs every Friday on The CW at 9 p.m. EDT.
