With the success of the franchise, the fans are eagerly looking forward to “Spider-Man 3.” “Far from Home” director Jon Watts is already exploring who the new villain in the next film can be, and the race to play that role has already started with “Deadpool” star Stefan Kapičić putting his name in the ring.

In a recent interview with Uproxx, Watts talked about his approach to choosing the next villain for “Spider-Man 3.” The director explained that he always starts the process by exploring what the fans haven’t yet seen in the films.

There are many villains from the comic books that Watts can bring to the big screen, and he pointed out that he gets a kick out of doing that. When it comes to the next film however he doesn’t know who the villain is going to be, but his approach is to look at what would make it “most difficult” for the wall-crawling superhero played by Tom Holland.

If it were up to him, Watts would like to bring the comic book character Kraven the Hunter into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character from the comics is an antagonist who could be the villain in “Spider-Man 3.”

Reacting to a story about Watts’ interview on Twitter, Kapičić suggested that he could play the role of Kraven in the next film. The actor is best known for playing the voice of the character Colossus in the “Deadpool” movies. The fans have also commented on the issue, and many of them seem to like the idea of Kapičić taking on the villainous role.

Although Kapičić is eager to play the role of Kraven in “Spider-Man 3,” readers should note that the filmmakers haven’t yet decided on who will be the villain in the film, Screen Rant reported. The producers are also yet to announce an exact release date for the movie.
