A new poster of “Star Wars: Episode 9” that has surfaced online shows the costumes of Rose Tico (Kelly Marie Tran) and Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong’o). The two characters were missing in the trailers of the film that have been released so far, but they are expected to play an important role in the story.

Rose will continue to be a fighter in the Resistance, and her costume will emphasize that. A poster of the upcoming film shared on Bespin Bulletin Instagram page shows Tran wearing a brown shirt and pants. The actress has her hair tied neatly into a bun and is carrying a blaster rifle.

After teasing a possible romance between Rose and Finn (John Boyega) in the previous film, the relationship is expected to develop further. Tran’s new costume matches well with the look Finn prefers. The trailer of the film, however, suggest that the two characters will be spending a lot of time apart, and they may be reunited only towards the end.

Another important character in “Star Wars: Episode 9” is Maz Kanata. The character has played an important role in the past in guiding the heroes. Nyong’o’s character will be seen in a green t-shirt and a black sleeveless jacket. She will also wear her trademark glasses over her head.

Meanwhile, Empire Magazine has shared a new still from the movie that shows the Knights of Ren. The background of the mysterious group of warriors will finally be explored in the upcoming film.

A set of character posters of the Knights Of Ren that has been surfaced online shows the characters to be like medieval warriors. Even the arms they carry are mostly melee weapons, but they may have some hi-tech elements to them.

“Star Wars: Episode 9” has been directed by JJ Abrams. The film will be released on Dec. 20.
