Mark Hamill is all set to reprise his role as Jedi Master Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars: Episode 9.”

In a recent interview, Hamill confirmed that he will start filming his scenes soon and revealed that he will be getting the script rewrites. Hamill isn’t allowed to tease any details about the film or his role, but he did dish on the enormous secrecy surrounding the project.

Luke may be gone, but he isn’t done yet. How he will return is anybody’s guess, with the most obvious way being as a Force Ghost. Hamill isn’t revealing anything yet. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor said that he has to go and film his scenes and quickly turned the subject towards the secrecy and the script.

Hamill compared working in the movies now with what it was like to work in the first “Star Wars” film. Back then, it wasn’t a big franchise and nobody cared. Hamill even let his friends read the script at that time, but that can’t happen now.

Working for “Star Wars” now feels like working for a “secret deep state government” or the CIA for Hamill. The actor confirmed that there have been some rewrites in the script, which is expected for a big budget film like “Star Wars: Episode 9.”

The rewrites will be sent over to Prague, where Hamill will be given some time to read, and then he has to return the script. The actor isn’t even allowed to keep the script with him overnight, he revealed. “So no pressure,” Hamill joked.

JJ Abrams is back at the helm, and he is using the same tactics he used when he directed “The Force Awakens.” The script that is being given to the actors is in dark red paper, which was previously used by Abrams. The color makes any photocopies unreadable, but Hamill pointed out that it also gives the actors a headache while reading it.

The stakes are high for the final film in the new trilogy. Some of the fans were not happy with the previous movie “The Last Jedi.” A report by Game Spot notes that the next film by Abrams is expected to rectify the problems and get the fans excited about the franchise again.

The fans are currently waiting for the title reveal and the first trailer of “Star Wars: Episode 9.” According to a report by Screen Rant, a first look video may be released during Star Wars Celebration 2019.
