“Star Wars: Episode 9”will be introducing a new class of soldiers known as the Sith Troopers. The new unit of the First Order will be wearing a red armor and they will be carrying some unique weapons, all of which have now been officially revealed.

A team from the franchise will be participating in the upcoming San Diego Comic Con, where the fans will get to see the brand new Sith Troopers. The announcement was made in the recently aired episode of “The Star Wars Show” on YouTube. The show also revealed toys of the soldiers that will go on sale at the event, and the toys give the fans the first look at the armor design and the weapons.

The helmet design of the Sith Troopers is very similar to the regular troopers of the First Order that are seen in white armor, which confirms that these units are a part of Kylo Ren’s (Adam Driver) army rather than the Emperor’s. The new soldiers will be carrying a variety of blasters and melee weapons that may be able to take on a lighsaber.

The official website of the franchise has shared more images of the Sith Troopers featured in “Star Wars: Episode 9,”and the merchandise that will be available for purchase at the Comic Con. For fans who have been following the leaks of the film, this is the first big confirmation about the new class of soldiers that has been a hot topic of discussion for the past few months.

The following portion of the article contains spoilers from “Star Wars: Episode 9.”

A previous report by Making Star Wars, revealed that the Sith Troopers report to the Knights of Ren and Kylo Ren only. This means that General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) and the others in the First Order have no control over them.

Kylo Ren recently took over the position of the Supreme Leader of the First Order. With a private army under his control, he will be in a position to silence any opposition to his rule.

The first two movies in the sequel trilogy have already teased the friction between Kylo Ren and General Hux, and it remains to be seen if that friction will result in open hostility for power in “Star Wars: Episode 9.” If that were to happen, the fans will get to see the Sith Troopers clash with the soldiers in the white armor in the film.
