'Stranger Things' Season 4 Rumored To Have Begun Filming

New reports have come out suggesting that the newest season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” has already begun filming. While the reports are unconfirmed, previous evidence has suggested a similar production date.

What’s On Netflix were the ones to report on this production date, which supposedly began on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Neither Netflix or the Duffer brothers have confirmed this to be true. In fact, the “Stranger Things” staff has been rather quiet lately, which is uncharacteristic of the same crew who teased Season 3’s production along the way.

It’s been reported previously that production of the new season would likely begin this month, which came out at a time when Gaten Matarazzo was notably quiet about the new season, aside from dispelling some odd fan theories, suggesting the cast and crew are doing the same.

“Stranger Things” Season 4 is said to go beyond Hawkins and the Upside Down and further into the world, exploring a larger universe. It’s been described by Matarazzo in the previous interview that this next season will be very different than the other three. The silence is likely due to them wanting to keep any spoilers from getting out.

Furthermore, the 2020 Golden Globes occurred on Sunday with not so much as a single cast member in sight. While it could be partially due to the fact that “Stranger Things” received no nominations this year, actors are still invited to attend the awards regardless. It’s possible they were either on set or preparing, rumors suggest.

Netflix Life suggests that, as production continues all the way to August, it will be increasingly more difficult to hide the fact that they are shooting. Actors like David Harbour and Winona Ryder will have to venture out into the world, where they would be spotted in real life in or around Atlanta, Georgia where the show typically films.

While officially unconfirmed by Netflix, overwhelming evidence strongly suggests that Season 4’s production is underway.
