"Suits" Season 8 is moving forward without Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle, but their co-stars in the USA Network series can't help but miss them.

Gabriel Macht admitted to Harper's Bazaar that he missed Adams on the set. "I didn't really know how overwhelming it would be for me," the actor said. The two are friends in real life and according to Macht, Adams is still there for him, but the latter left a void on set. So, he keeps Mike's (Adam's) storyline by showing the audience how Harvey (Macht) was influenced by his protege.

"We really started together. The show started as a two-hander and became an ensemble—which I'm very grateful for—but Patrick and I would bounce ideas off of each other, and Patrick always comes with such integrity and intelligence that he was very much my partner in this journey," Macht continued.

One of the highlights on "Suits" Season 8 is Harvey taking on pro bono cases. "Mike has always been all about pro bono cases, and Harvey takes a pro bono case," Macht explained. "Donna points out that this is his way of trying to keep Mike's spirit alive. I think Harvey understands that and acknowledges that, and he also understands that he is not Mike. Harvey's always been aggressive and manipulative, but he also has a heart of gold."

On the other hand, Katherine Heigl's new character, Samantha, is filling the void left by the Duchess of Sussex. Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce), the father of Markle's character, Rachel, in the series, has become more integral to the firm this season. With the absence of his daughter, Samantha will take over.

"You do feel the absence of that relationship [between Robert and Rachel], so this is in some way filling a void," Heigl said about her role.

In related news, EP Aaron Korsh teased the audience that there's something to look forward to Donna's (Sarah Rafferty) character after episode 10. According to him, there will be a big reveal about the character and he is hoping that the audience will be "a little bit surprised."

"Suits" Season 8 airs on Wednesday at 9 p.m. EDT on USA Network.
