  • "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" was released in 2018
  • The game is available on Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite
  • An insider posted details about "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" final DLC character on Twitter

"Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" has been confirmed to receive one final DLC character sometime this year. While Nintendo has not yet revealed the identity of this last character, fans may now have an idea where it would come from.

The supposed latest information about the final DLC character of "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" came from the reliable industry insider who goes by the name Samus Hunter. The insider said on Twitter that the upcoming character would not be from first-party titles, which means it is not a Nintendo character.

Hunter thinks all of the upcoming Nintendo games will have Spirit Battles, but the major games have already been featured in "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" so new content will most likely come from third-party games.

"I would say 80% chance, the chance of the final character being first-party are low. "WarioWare," "Dread" and all the upcoming game will have dedicated Spirit Battles. "Pokémon," "Astral Chain," "Paper Mario" and other recent major Switch titles are all represented," the insider said earlier this month when asked by a follower how likely the final DLC character is from a third-party title.

Over the past months, many fans anticipate the final DLC character coming to the game is a first-party character. Most fans believe Waluigi will finally launch on "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" through the final DLC. If this happens, then fans would be in for a delightful surprise.

For now, Hunter's update is the only information about the game's DLC.

Nintendo and game creator Masahiro Sakurai confirmed earlier that there would be no more fighter passes in the game after the release of the last DLC, suggesting the game is ending real soon.

In the absence of an official announcement, fans are advised to temper their expectations and take the latest information about the game's final DLC character as speculative.

"Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" was released in December 2018. It is currently available on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite.
