‘SYTYCD’ Season 14 Spoilers: Who Will Gaby Diaz Send To The Live Shows?

“So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14 is close to revealing which contestants will be working with an all-star in the live shows.

In the teaser released by FOX for Monday night’s episode, Gaby Diaz’s team members are tasked to perform a contemporary routine in front of her and the other nine all-stars. Lex Ishimoto is one of the three dancers fighting for a spot in the live shows. He is joined by another male contestant and a female contestant who impressed Diaz during their first Academy round.

But Diaz can only bring one of the three dancers to the live shows, and she must choose which one she would like to dance with on Monday night. By the looks of it, Ishimoto is the one who will make it to the next round of the competition. He is also a frontrunner in Season 14.

While speaking with The O.C. Register earlier this month, Ishimoto, 19, recounted what it was like auditioning for the hit FOX reality TV competition. The Irvine native was told by judge Nigel Lythgoe that he is a star. “The stage is my second home. All the eyes are on you and once the music starts, you’re in another world,” he said.

In addition, “So You Think You Can Dance” isn’t the first time that Ishimoto has worked with Lythgoe and contemporary choreographer Travis Wall. The teenager previously starred in the YouTube-produced series of Lythgoe and the DanceOn digital media company. Ishimoto also trained under Wall’s original touring production, “Shaping Sound.”

Meanwhile, the other nine all-stars would also have to choose only one contestant to work with for the rest of the season. Every week, the contestant and the all-star will perform live for America’s vote. One couple will be sent home at the end of every episode until only one contestant is named as the winner for Season 14.

Whoever wins “So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14 will bring home the $250,000 grand prize. He or she will also have the chance to become an all-star in the future seasons.
