A Texas woman has been arrested for impersonating her 13-year-old daughter and trespassing into her school in El Paso. She said she was on a mission.

Casey Garcia went inside the unidentified school in San Elizario dressed as the teen and spent nearly a whole day there. According to a video posted by Garcia on YouTube, she entered the premises to bring attention to the lax security arrangements at the school.

Garcia faces charges of suspicion of criminal trespassing and tampering with government records, reported CBS-affiliated WPEC. She was being held on a bond of $7,908.

The 30-year-old -- dressed in a hoodie, wearing a mask and carrying a backpack -- recorded her journey throughout the school. “Do I look like a seventh-grader? No? Cool. Awesome,” said Garcia in one of the videos.

“I am going to get so caught, I am actually, really scared now,” she could be heard saying over the video.

But, none of the faculty members in the school reportedly noticed she was not her daughter until the last period.

The footage shows her talking to several people on the school grounds, who did not seem to suspect she was a grown woman.

“I’ve been here all day, face-to-face with teachers,” said Garcia. “The school was so concerned that my phone was out that they weren’t even paying attention to who I was,” she added in a follow-up video.

Garcia said her stunt was not to malign anyone, but to bring attention to the children's safety. She added she shouldn’t have been able to get this far without being noticed.

“I’m telling you right now we need better security at our schools — this is what I tried to prove.”

Many social media users took to the video's comment section to react to it. “The fact that the teachers didn’t notice scares me, this would’ve never happened when I was in school. All the teachers knew each of their students,” a person wrote.

Reacting to the incident, the superintendent of San Elizario, Dr. Jeannie Meza-Chavez, said in a statement: “While there was a breach in security by an individual associated as a parent with the school…we want to assure you that our security measures are being reviewed and evaluated,” NBC-affiliated KTSM reported.

Last month, a 28-year-old trespassed into a school in Miami posing as a teenager to hand out flyers promoting her Instagram account. The woman was caught by the school security within some time of her entering the campus.
