In a "surreal" dream-come-true kind of moment, Tom Cruise surprised a British family as his helicopter landed in their garden after he was unable to find a suitable landing spot.

The 59-year-old actor, who is currently filming the latest "Mission: Impossible" film in the U.K., found himself in a pickle when Coventry Airport closed temporarily Monday.

His team contacted Warwickshire resident Alison Webb and her partner, asking for permission to use their field by an "unnamed VIP who was running late and desperately needed to land."

Tom Cruise surprised a delighted family Monday as his helicopter landed in their garden.

While speaking to BBC News, Webb said: "I thought it would be kind of cool for the kids to see the helicopter land in the garden. He [Tom Cruise] basically arrived and got out and it was like, 'Wow.' He went straight over to the children for a chat, then came over and elbow bumped us and said thank you very much."

The actor showed his gratitude by chatting with the couple's children and "elbow bumping" them to say "thank you very much."

Cruise gladly offered their children to be taken on a helicopter ride. "Then he said if the kids would like they could go up in the helicopter," Webb revealed.

She said the day was "incredible" and "surreal."

"It turned out to be an incredible day. It was surreal, I still now can't believe it happened," she told the outlet.

Over the past few weeks, the "Jack Reacher" actor was making most of his time in the U.K. Just last weekend he was spotted enjoying dinner at an Indian restaurant in Birmingham.

The "Knight And Day" star was also spotted shopping with his "Mission: Impossible" co-star Hayley Atwell at Grand Central shopping center where they were filming scenes for the movie.

"Mission: Impossible 7" is set for release in May 2022.
