A new survey claims that out of the 249 Republicans in the House and Senate, only 27 of them have acknowledged Joe Biden’s victory over Trump in the November election.

On Saturday, The Washington Post shared their findings from a survey done by a team of 25 reporters, who reached out to aides of every House and Senate Republican via phone or email.

After the results were published, the President replied to a tweet shared by Philip Rucker, White House Bureau Chief at The Washington Post, about the article.

In the tweet, the political analyst shared the incorrect number regarding the hesitant GOP member.

“The Washington Post surveyed all 249 Republicans in the House and Senate. Only 25 would acknowledge that Joe Biden is president-elect,” Rucker tweeted.

Nonetheless, Trump welcomed the support and wanted the names of the Republicans who acknowledged Biden’s victory.

“25, wow! I am surprised there are so many. We have just begun to fight. Please send me a list of the 25 RINOS [Republican In Name Only]. I read the Fake News Washington Post as little as possible!”

The survey was distributed the morning after Trump’s 46-minute video in which he made baseless claims about voter fraud and how the election was stolen.

For the survey, Republicans were asked to respond to all three of the following questions, who won the presidential contest? Do you support or oppose Trump’s continuing efforts to claim victory? If Biden wins a majority in the electoral college, will you accept him as the legitimately elected president?

The survey found that 220 GOP members of the House and Senate refused to state who won the election.

Biden won the 2020 election by more than 7 million votes and received 306 electoral votes.
