Days after news of reality star and socialite Paris Hilton’s wedding being postponed came out, a number of tabloids started wondering whether the great-daughter of Conrad Hilton, the founder of the Hilton Hotels, had canceled her big day due to “cold feet.” Gossip Cop debunked all those rumors.

Hilton and the “The Leftovers” star Chris Zylka got engaged in January in Aspen, Colorado, which involved a 20-carat, $2 million diamond ring. So naturally, everyone started anticipating imminent wedding bells. However, nearly a week back, a source close to Hilton told Page Six the wedding had been postponed.

“They were all set to get married in November,” a source told Page Six. “But they have pushed it to May. She wanted more time to plan.”

While the reason for the delay in the wedding was clearly disclosed, one of the tabloids which tried to create mystery around the delay was Woman’s Day Australia. It published an article titled “Paris’ Wedding Canceled?” which refused to believe that “extra months to plan the ultimate bash” wasn’t a good enough reason for the heiress to delay her wedding.

It further stated that Hilton’s infamous reputation for being “finicky” could very well have led her to get “cold feet” due to which she had pushed back the big day.

“Paris has never properly settled down for a reason. She has always loved the single life and the reality of being married for the rest of her life is probably settling in now,” the publication quoted a source as claiming.

As if that wasn’t enough drama, the publication also published a photo of the soon-to-be-wed couple torn down from the middle to suggest that Hilton and Zylka might have broken up post-engagement.

All these claims were debunked by Gossip Cop. The actual reason as to why the wedding was postponed was because both the stars have a very busy work schedule ahead of them and hence will have to fit their wedding day around it somehow.

While Zylka has two upcoming art exhibitions for which he needs to prepare, Hilton will be on tour in November to promote her new fragrance and a skincare line, in addition to fulfilling her deejaying commitments.

“Her schedule is absolutely insane and she needs more time to plan,” Hilton’s rep told Gossip Cop, adding that rumors of her getting a “cold feet” were not true.

Also, if the couple had indeed broken up, Hilton would have never taken to Instagram some days ago to promote Zylka's art exhibit, calling him “my love.”

Hilton’s mother, Kathy, said back in January that she was really excited to plan her daughter’s fairytale wedding that's “over-the-top.”

“I love planning weddings - I'm the wedding planner,” she said, Mail Online reported. “Everything is kind of specialized and tailored to the person.”
