Although Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have reportedly reached an agreement regarding the custody battle surrounding their six kids, which was going on for the last two years, unreliable tabloids continue to insinuate that there is still friction between the couple when the topic was concerned.

One such outlet was OK! Magazine, which recently published a report claiming Jolie deliberately planned to take the kids away to France during the upcoming holidays, leaving Pitt alone.

An anonymous insider told the publication although the “Troy” actor originally wanted the kids to split the Christmas holidays between him and his estranged wife, he feared that Jolie will “sabotage his plans” by taking Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 13, and Shiloh, 12, as well as 10-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne out of the country.

“Brad’s upset that Angie’s even thinking about this,” the questionable tipster said, claiming if Jolie were to pull such a “stunt,” it would disrupt their tradition of spending the holidays together. “They used to pick out a tree together and have a chef prepare a big spread. This would make Brad feel like he’s really missing out.”

The so-called unnamed source then went on to suggest the “Original Sin” actress had a stronger bond with the kids than Pitt and hence, the latter feared that he will lose whatever little connection he shared with them.

“Brad fears that all these treasured traditions are in the past, and he doesn’t want the kids to forget about him. If Angie takes them to France, she could destroy what little relationship he has left with them,” the tipster said.

Gossip Cop reached out to Pitt’s confidante who confirmed that the tabloid’s concocted narrative was bogus. This is because no details about the alleged custody agreement were made public by either side of the party, which means there was no way for any entertainment outlet to know in advance how the couple planned to spend the holidays with or without their kids.

“A custody arrangement was agreed two weeks ago, and has been signed by both parties and the judge,” Jolie’s lawyer, Samantha Bley DeJean, told Entertainment Tonight in a statement last month. "The agreement, which is based on the recommendations of the child custody evaluator, eliminates the need for a trial. The filing and details of the agreement are confidential to protect the best interests of the children.”
