  • Some Twitter users defended Heard because previous outlets reported that she already made the donations

Amber Heard received another round of backlash from her critics after it was revealed that she didn't donate the divorce settlement she received from Johnny Depp as promised.

Depp's lawyer, Adam Waldman, made several tweets about the "Aquaman" actress allegedly lying about donating the $7 million she received as divorce settlement to Children's Hospital LA (CHLA) and American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The netizens immediately slammed Heard and called her a "liar" after learning about the revelation.

"Amber Heard doesnt have to donate - but 2 lie, say repeatedly that u donated money 2 a charity 4 sick children! She donated nada, ziltch, zero - but lied so that she could self promote. All the while distracting from her other web of lies! Disgusting! #AmberHeardIsALiar," one netizen wrote.

"Not only did she not HONOR her pledge: she has deceived people into believing she's 'SO GOOD, she gave away $7 MILLION!' & even lied under OATH about it. To a judge. #Perjury She accepts honors, awards & positions based on this lie: she's an abuser masquerading as an activist," @MsAuroraGilmore wrote.

"Well we already know it was just a donation pledge to CHLA and now her name is not on the list anymore!!! Pledge NOT= with actual donation!" another commented.

"Amber 'I wanted nothing' Heard said she was independent. At the same time she wanted 50,000 a month from her ex, including 3 apartments, a car, furniture, etc. In addition, she wants to know who is in her ex's will. AFTER she got 7 million. She is a scammer and a gold digger," @AneHansen7 wrote.

Meanwhile, actor Greg Ellis recalled how he worked with other celebrities to raise money for children and said Heard not fulfilling her pledge is like stealing from the sick kids.

"For 10 yrs I’ve competed in @MalibuTri w other celebs raising $millions for the phenomenal @ChildrensLA Many of us are now watching. Waiting 4 *discovery* proof, not *Heardsay* evidence. Legally committing $3.5m & only giving $0.5m is tantamount 2 stealing from sick children," the “Pirates of the Caribbean” voice actor wrote.

"And she didn't even donate 500k herself, she recommended an anonymous donor (probably Elon Musk) to donate. She is a liar and a disgrace. @Disney should be ashamed of themselves for treating Johnny this way just because Amber Heard lied without evidence. #apologisetoJohnnyDepp," another commented.

Meanwhile, some Twitter users defended Heard. One netizen responded to a post claiming Heard used the money from the divorce settlement to luxurious trips.

"1) She is a wealthy woman in her own right 2) these pictures are from a few years ago 3) why do you care? What does it matter?" Claire Rice wrote.

"But her name is on the list. Who needs more evidence?" another user wrote referring to the list of donors where Heard's name was included.

Another netizen defended Heard by sharing an article from Fox News about Heard donating the entire $7 million to CHLA and ACLU. However, many disregarded it because there was no proof about the donations that several outlets reported in 2018.
