Twitter users couldn't get enough of Adrian Grenier's latest series, "Clickbait," after watching it.

"Clickbait" started streaming on Netflix Wednesday and many viewers quickly showered the show with praise after seeing it. Most of them shared that they thought they got it all figured out, but they were surprised by the ending.

"#Clickbait on Netflix is a must-watch! I’m usually pretty good at guessing mysteries but the fact that I got it wrong I’m thoroughly surprised. It’s definitely not who you think it is. Overall excellent plot!!" one tweeted.

"I did nothing productive today and instead binged watched #ClickbaitNetflix and I really underestimated this show [crying emoji] I actually thought I had it all figured out by the end! It’s a must-watch!!" another added.

"It’s the way I just sat here and binge-watched #clickbaitnetflix ALL day long. Overall, can recommend [it]. What worked, really worked. The different POVs are fantastically written, beautifully honed in on the individual. The cast is phenomenal," a different viewer wrote.

Warning: spoilers ahead. The series follows Nick (Grenier) who was kidnapped and held hostage. His family saw a video of him holding up a sign that read, "I abuse women. At 5 million views, I die." Another sign said, "I killed a woman." Initially, his family thought the video was fake and got concerned after realizing he was missing.

After days of searching for Nick, his body was found. Following the incident, several women came forward claiming that they were in a relationship with Nick, leaving the grieving family in a more difficult position. Sophie’s affair (Betty Gabriel) was also publicized as her ex was questioned by the police if he was involved in Nick's death. The family received intense backlash from the public and from the netizens due to the whole fiasco.

One of Nick’s girlfriends, Sarah (Taylor Ferguson), committed suicide after their fight. Her brother, Simon (Daniel Henshall), blamed Nick for her death and kidnapped him. However, he realized that he got the wrong guy after confronting Nick, so he set him free. In the last episode, it was revealed that the women were being catfished and Nick was killed after confronting the person who used his persona on various dating sites. The catfish was Nick's workmate whom he considered a friend.

Series creator Tony Ayres spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the series. He said he knew that the ending was controversial, but he's standing by it.

"I think people are really going to love it, or I think they're going to throw their remote at the television," he told EW. "Or both. The thing I really wanted to do was to make episode 8 also a 'why done it' so that even though it comes out of the blue, what we were trying to do was then explain how did this happen? How does someone like that end up in this situation?"

"I really love this format and if people connect to it, I would love to do it again. I think it works really well, especially for a more elevated crime. I like to satisfy the whodunnit quality, but still try to do a deep dive on character and then at the same time do a 360 around an event because everyone has slightly different [perspectives]. I've got ideas for a season 2 or 3," he added.

"Clickbait" is Grenier's first series regular role after his eight-season run as Vincent Chase on "Entourage" in 2011. The 45-year-old actor said he was picky when it came to his projects.

"I'm project-focused, not necessarily quantity but quality," he told EW. "I'm always looking for the projects that are going to have a profound impact on people."
