Today's books video is an interview with Carlos, a 21-year-old writer, who talks about his life in Hollywood, where he is homeless.

When the narrator asks what he is doing to get out of homelessness, Carlos says, I just got done writing my first book, and I'm working on my second book, and I'm doing a spoken word CD.

Twenty copies were made of his book The Orange Compilation, which is about his family and his past, Carlos says.

I want to become an English major, and just master the craft of writing, because that's what I love to do, he says.
