Vivica A. Fox is stepping into a presidential role in the upcoming film “Crossbreed.” The award-winning actress portrays a U.S. President who is tasked with the difficult job of taking on aliens in the Brandon Slagle-directed feature, and International Business Times has an exclusive sneak peek of the film sci-fi fans won’t want to miss.

The Uncork’d Entertainment thriller, set in the not-so-distant future, follows an outerspace facility’s failed experimentation with alien gene splicing. Fearing a potential world war, President Ellen Henricksen (Fox) hires a team of military veterans to locate the alien bio-weapon and save the earth from a possible chemical weapon attack.

“These highly trained mercenaries must infiltrate the space station and recover the deadly experimental alien cargo located onboard. All is going according to the plan until the cargo escapes,” the official synopsis teases.

Fox isn’t the only big name in this upcoming picture. The movie also stars actors Daniel Baldwin, Stink Fisher, Devanny Pinn, and Vernon Wells.

The sneak-peek clip of the film (above) shows President Henricksen revealing her decision to Miller (Mu-Shaka Benson) and Secretary of Defense Weathers (Baldwin) to make Adam “Boss” Ryker (Fisher), a decorated war hero, an ally in their fight. Miller, however, makes it clear he is not pleased, calling Ryker a deserter for becoming a resident of the moon.

“This isn’t about nationalism,” Fox’s character states. “We need someone who can do the job and Ryker is the best candidate.”

“Crossbreed” releases to VOD on Feb. 5. Watch the exclusive sneak peek above and check out the trailer here.
