Walking Dead
"The Walking Dead" returns to AMC on Sunday, Feb. 9. AMC

“The Walking Dead” has been on a hiatus for the past few weeks, but that’s all coming to an end on Sunday, Feb. 9. The hit AMC series will return to complete its action packed fourth season, and we’ve got the scoop on the remaining seven episodes of the season.

So, what can fans expect? We’re breaking it down by episode.

Episode 10 – “Inmates”

The last time that “Walking Dead” fans left off, the prison group was forced to flee the lockup. The Governor’s attacks completely desecrated their safe haven, and, unfortunately, the midseason premiere won’t find them in a better place. The separated group will be searching for “stability and safety” … but with many obstacles in their way.

Episode 11 – “Claimed”

Viewers have seen survivors struggle with their past and the consequences of some of their recent actions. Those feelings will continue into the second half of the season, especially with Rick. “A number of immediate threats plague” the former sheriff in episode 11 -- possibly brought about by the potential (but not confirmed) death of baby Judith.

But Rick won’t be the only one struggling with his inner demons. Other group members (maybe Michonne?) will also be dealing with their past as well.

Episode 12 – “Still”

The second half of the season will find the group trying to move on, but that doesn’t mean that viewers can’t look forward to some exciting “missions.” During the first half of the season we watched as Daryl, Bob, Tyrese and Michonne made a dangerous journey to get medical supplies to deal with the mysterious illness attacking the prison. This time a group member’s “request” will spring an “enlightened mission.” Will religion begin to play a part in the show?

Episode 13 – “Alone”

The split Prison survivors will find a safe haven eventually. One group will find a new shelter, but according to the synopsis, another group “has a realization about protection.”

Episode 14 – “The Grove”

One group will establish a new shelter, seemingly called “The Grove.” They’ll “consider” having things return to the way “they used to be” … but can they ever find the same security that they had at the prison?

Episode 15 – “Us”

It’s unclear if all the groups will reconnect, but according to the synopsis the survivors will be forced to rely on faith … and brutality.

Episode 16 – “A”

According to Zap2it, viewers of the season 4 finale, “A,” will find paths colliding. As members struggle to survive, Rick “faces sheer brutality.” Does that mean that fans can expect another villain?
