“Big Brother” is about to make history with its first-ever live season premiere Wednesday night. To top it off, the network is also keeping the names of its cast members a secret ahead of its second “All-Star” installment.

Leading up to the first 2020 episode, longtime fans may be wondering what’s ahead for the show’s contestants and if the season’s grand prize will differ in any way due to the decision to feature alumni, not to mention it being the show’s 20th anniversary on the air.

According to CBS’ press release, fans can still expect this year’s winner to walk away with a cash prize, however, the amount isn’t any different from past installments.

“‘Big Brother’ follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with 94 HD cameras and 113 microphones, recording their every move 24 hours a day,” reads the network’s statement. “Each week, someone will be voted out of the house, with the last remaining Houseguest receiving the grand prize of $500,000.”

There is no word yet on if this season will feature a monetary prize for the second-place contestant or the viewer-voted “America’s Favorite Houseguest” winner. Previous seasons have seen both walk away with $50K, and $25K, respectively.

As for who could end up winning the grand prize this time around, the lineup is being kept under wraps. However, host Julie Chen Moonves has promised the cast will include a mix of previous winners, past runner-ups, and fan-favorites from previous years. In total, viewers can expect an even lineup of men and women with a total of 16 houseguests competing for the Season 22 prize.

“All the returning ‘Big Brother’ houseguests from seasons past, these all-stars, hear the one thing they have in common: they all have something to prove,” Chen Moonves said in a show promo released Tuesday.

The live two-hour Season 22 premiere of “Big Brother” airs Wednesday at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS and CBS All Access.
