Michelle Obama has shared how she and Barack Obama make their marriage work.

Michelle and Barack’s family has been praised by many. For them, the Obamas are a picture of a beautiful family. According to E! News, Barack and Michelle’s love story is absolutely like no other.

According to Michelle, she thought Barack was just one of the good-looking and smooth-talking guys she knew when they first met. But she realized that he could communicate with the people and had some depth in him. She viewed him as an elite individual with strong moral values.

On the other hand, Barack wasn’t sure if he made a good impression to Michelle because on their first meeting he was late and “kind of damp” because it was raining.

Michelle decided to focus on her career at the time and put dating on the back burner. She even set Barack up with a friend, but he wasn’t interested in the latter.

Barack kept on asking Michelle out, but she also kept on refusing. However, one time, she agreed to go for ice cream with Barack. Their first date is commemorated with a plaque at Dorchester and East 53rd Street.

“On our first date, I treated her to the finest ice cream Baskin-Robbins had to offer, our dinner table doubling as the curb. I kissed her, and it tasted like chocolate,” a quote from Barack read.

As for how they maintain their marriage, Michelle admitted that they make a trip to counseling when needed.

“Marriage counseling for us was one of those ways where we learned how to talk out our differences,” Michelle told “Good Morning America’s” Robin Roberts.

“I know too many young couples who struggle and think that somehow there's something wrong with them. And I want them to know that Michelle and Barack Obama, who have a phenomenal marriage and who love each other, we work on our marriage. And we get help with our marriage when we need it.”

In October, the ex-FLOTUS and ex-POTUS celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary. Barack celebrated the milestone with a sweet photo of him and Michelle on Instagram.

“Thanks, babe, for 27 amazing years,” he wrote.

Last week, Michelle shared a sweet family photo celebrating Thanksgiving on social media. The netizens were very happy to see the family because they missed them.
