Striking oil doesn’t immediately bring happiness to a town, and Hope Valley will learn that in Sunday’s new “When Calls the Heart.”

In Season 6, episode 6, titled “Disputing Hearts,” of the Hallmark Channel drama, the resource found by Gowen (Martin Cummins) causes controversy and jealousy all around.

Also, Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) gets to know Mountie Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) a bit better while helping his niece make friends in class. When not spending some time with Elizabeth, Nathan’s busy encouraging Bill’s (Jack Wagner) new opportunity.

“Meanwhile, Fiona (Kayla Wallace) trains Florence (Loretta Walsh) at the town switchboard, and quickly realizes she has her work cut out for her,” the synopsis reveals.

As for Carson (Paul Greene) and Faith (Andrea Brooks), he’s decided to help her connect with her estranged father, while Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) tries to decide whether or not she should share a struggle with Lee (Kavan Smith).”

What exactly that struggle is remains to be seen, but in the “When Calls the Heart” preview trailer, Rosemary tells Dr. Shepherd, “Something’s not quite right,” after looking at an advertisement for baby lotion.

The episode, which was written by Derek Thompson and Elizabeth Stewart and directed by Mike Rohl, also stars Aren Buchholz (Jesse Flynn), Eva Bourne (Clara Stanton), Chris McNally (Lucas Bouchard), Kevin McGarry (Nathan Grant), Ben Rosenbaum (Mike Hickam), Nick Hunnings (Richard Wolf), Robert Parent (Kurt Lawson) and Sheri Rabold (Bertha Hayford).

“When Calls the Heart” airs on Hallmark Channel on Sundays at 9 p.m. EDT.
