The holiday season is here, and that has come to mean ugly Christmas sweater season as well. But just because the tradition started with Christian-themed garments doesn’t mean Jews have to miss out on the fun! Plenty of stores and online retailers now sell ugly Hanukkah sweaters, too. You’ll have your friends kvelling in these menorah- and dreidel-themed tops from eight stores.

Target: For those who don’t want a sweater that’s too ugly, Target has a fairly tame (but still fun!) Hanukkah-themed garment, featuring a lit up menorah, for just $17.50.

Nordstrom: If you’re feeling sassy and want to send a message with your Hanukkah attire, Nordstrom has you covered. They’re offering a men’s sweater with the phrase “Come on baby light my menorah!” complete with a menorah (of course) and stars of David for $49.50. For women, the department store has a sweatshirt emblazoned with the claim that “8 nights of presents are better than 1” -- but you’ll have to drop $62 to buy it.

Macy’s: Macy’s also has a playful Hanukkah option. It’s selling a T-shirt for $12.99 that says, “Meowy X-Mas” above a picture of a cat wearing a yarmulke. Below the cat are the words, “Just kitten around Happy Hanukkah.”

Sears: Are you someone who needs options when you shop? Then Sears might be the place for you this Hanukkah season. The retailer has at least four Hanukkah-themed tops on its website. They include a very busy Hanukkah cardigan complete with menorahs, dreidels and Jewish stars ($29.86); matching “Mazel Tov!” and “Oy Vey!” sweaters ($25.99); a “Love Peace and Latke Grease” shirt ($16.99); and a classic pullover with a simple wintry Hanukkah pattern ($29.95).

Walmart: Here you can find a nice blue sweater for $39.99 that features a giant menorah and Hebrew-looking letters that spell out “Happy Chanukah.” It’s extra fun because it includes one of the many alternate spellings for the holiday.

Amazon: The online giant has many great options, but two particularly fun ones are the $64.95 sweater with anthropomorphic dreidels dancing in front of a menorah, and a sweater that is actually called the “Faux Real Men’s Ugly Hanukkah Sweater 2” -- what could be better?

MyUglyChristmasSweater.com: If you’re looking for a truly ulgy Hanukkah sweater, look no further than the experts. This “Maroon Hanukkah Sweater with Menorah” includes a giant patch featuring what appears to be a felt menorah. Plus, the whole thing is lined with silver sparkly fabric. It can be yours for just $32.99!

TipsyElves.com: These last two are for the experienced Hanukkah sweater wearer only. One features an image of an excited rabbi, throwing his hands in the air. Above him, the sweater reads “Challah!” Not exactly Hanukkah-themed, but we’ll let it slide. The final sweater on this list has an image of a llama wearing a yarmulke and traditional long sideburns worn by observant Jews. The text reads -- you probably guessed it -- “Happy Llamakkah.” You can get 10 percent off these sweaters if you sign up for TipsyElves newsletter.
