A recurring guest star will be caught cheating in “Modern Family” Season 8, episode 12.

In the ABC sitcom’s Valentine’s Day special episode, titled “Do You Believe In Magic?,” Haley (Sarah Hyland) will spend the day with her uncles Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson). Her boyfriend, Rainer Shine (Nathan Fillion), is unable to go out on a date with her. But during their trip with Cam and Mitchell’s good friend Sal (Elizabeth Banks), Haley sees Rainer spending time with another woman. It seems that Rainer’s excuse of needing to go to the weather station is not true.

According to Entertainment Weekly, someone will splash the contents of a glass of water or alcohol at Rainer’s face when they confront him. Other than Rainer, someone else is bound to get wet during their boat trip.

Elsewhere, Phil (Ty Burrell) is worried that his marriage to Claire (Julie Bowen) is in jeopardy. In order to make their Valentine’s Day date memorable, Phil will rely on his alter ego, Clive Bixby, to surprise Claire. By the looks of it, Phil’s plans will do their marriage good.

Meanwhile, Jay (Ed O’Neill) and Gloria (Sofia Vergara) will also have a misunderstanding in the episode. Gloria is unhappy with the way their youngest son has been giving gifts to his friends, but Jay thinks there is no problem. On the other hand, Jay is unimpressed with how Manny (Rico Rodriguez) is trying to invite a girl out on Valentine’s Day, but Gloria thinks that her eldest son is doing the right thing. At the end of the day, it’s certain that Jay and Gloria will be able to patch up their differences like they always do.

“Modern Family” Season 8, episode 12 will air on ABC on Feb. 8 at 8:30 p.m. EST.
