“Riverdale” star Tiera Skovbye recently announced her engagement to her boyfriend, James Parker.

On her Instagram account, the actress, who plays the role of Polly Cooper, shared a photo of herself with her engagement ring. In the snap, Skovbye posed with her fiancé outdoors. Skovbye revealed that her engagement was such a “dream” and that she’s very happy because she will soon be settling down with the love of her life.

According to Skovbye, Parker popped the big question while they were in his childhood bedroom. Since she’s very hard to surprise, their engagement wasn’t pre-planned. After she said “yes,” she and Parker spent the rest of the weekend hanging out by a lake with both of their families.

Last month, the 22-year-old actress gave Parker a shoutout on social media after he landed a role in the upcoming film, “Summer of 84.” Skovbye posted a couple shot on her Instagram account and congratulated Parker. She also used the hashtag “power couple” in her caption.

Skovbye appeared in multiple episodes of “Riverdale” Season 1 as Betty Cooper’s (Lili Reinhart) older sister. She went missing during the earlier episodes of the series and was later on found at a facility, pregnant with her boyfriend Jason Blossom’s (Trevor Stines) child.

A couple of weeks after reuniting with Betty, Polly came up with a plan to leave the facility and go back home. When she did, Betty tried to cover up her disappearance, but what their parents didn’t know was that Polly had been living in their attic for some time.

Eventually, the truth about Polly’s whereabouts was revealed, and she had the chance to reunite with her parents. However, Jason’s mom and dad tried to lure Polly into moving in with them instead. The Blossoms were trying to cover up the truth about Jason’s death, but it was later on confirmed that Jason’s dad, Clifford (Barclay Hope), was the one who took his own son’s life.

Polly is expected to return in “Riverdale” Season 2 with her and Jason’s baby.

“Riverdale” Season 2 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. EDT.
