“Saturday Night Live” will return next month with some new talent. NBC has already announced hosts and musical guests for the first two shows of March.

“SNL” will welcome back a familiar face on March 2. John Mulaney will host the show. The comedian, who used to be a writer on the show, made his first appearance as host last April with a hilarious episode. Fans might remember his hilarious “Les Mis” riff, “Diner Lobster.”

Mulaney has made other appearances on “SNL,” including a skit earlier this year where he and cast member Pete Davidson reviewed Clint Eastwood’s “The Mule.” The real-life buddies will likely work together in the March 2 episode as well.

While Mulaney knows his way around Studio 8H well, musical guest Thomas Rhett does not. The country artist is making his “SNL” debut, but don’t expect him to play his standards. Rhett revealed that he is planning to sing new music. He’ll release a new single, titled “Look What God Gave Her,” on March 1.

On March 8, “SNL” will bring in a first-time host. Idris Elba will be leading the Season 44 episode. Elba, who was once dubbed People’s Sexiest Man Alive, is promoting “Luther” Season 5, hitting BBC America in June, as well as “Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs And Shaw,” due out in theaters in August.

Elba’s episode will include Khalid as a musical guest. The singer-songwriter, who is also making his “Saturday Night Live” debut, is set to release his second album in April.

“SNL” returns to NBC on Saturday, March 2 at 11:30 p.m. EST.
