"Saturday Night Live" will air a new episode once again this week, which will feature the "SNL" return of comedian Dave Chappelle for the first time since 2020 and his Netflix special, which led to transphobia accusations.

For the Nov. 12 episode of the NBC variety show, Chappelle will be joined by musical guest Black Star.

While the 49-year-old comedian has experienced success thanks to Comedy Central's "Chappelle Show" and numerous stand-up performances, his jokes over the last few years have resulted in backlash from the LGBT+ community.

Following the announcement of his NBC hosting gig, rumors reported by Page Six suggested "SNL" staffers, which include the first nonbinary cast member, Molly Kearney, and at least one transgender writer, were going to boycott Chappelle's episode.

However, a rep for the comedian told TMZ that Chappelle has already had two meetings filled with staff members.

The rep claimed both meetings were attended by writers and cast members and went as expected with everyone pitching sketch ideas.

Rumors of a boycott arose after "Saturday Night Live" writer Celeste Yim posted an Instagram Story that appeared to be a reaction to Chappelle's hosting announcement.

"I'm trans and non-binary. I use they/them pronouns. Transphobia is murder and it should be condemned," they wrote.

However, it is unclear whether Yim was among the staff members that met with Chappelle this week.

Following his 2021 Netflix special "The Closer," Chappelle was criticized over his remarks about transgender people as well as comments involving the pace of civil rights involving the LGBTQ+ community.

Chappelle's jokes have resulted in the comedian being attacked on stage, a walkout at Netflix, and more.

However, a rep for Chappelle has insisted there has been "no evidence of a boycott" regarding NBC's "SNL" employees.

"Saturday Night Live" Season 48, episode 6 will air at 11 p.m. ET on NBC.
