It’s been nearly two decades since JonBenét Ramsey was mysteriously murdered inside her family home. Her brother, who is still desperately seeking answers as to who is responsible for the crime while simultaneously fielding rumors that he himself is the killer, will provide new details about the case in a televised interview, which will air in three segments this week.

Previews for his sit down with Dr. Phil McGraw on “Dr. Phil” suggest Burke, just nine when his sister died, will be asked some hard-hitting questions related to the case. In one clip, Dr. Phil cuts straight to the chase, recalling a baseball bat and flashlight authorities believed may have been evidence in the murder. The “Dr. Phil” host asks Burke whether he was responsible for the murder, which elicits an emotional response from him. The clip cuts off before he answers the question, however, meaning those seeking answers will have to tune in to find out. Another brief teaser for the three-part show features Burke detailing life after JonBenét’s death. He shares with Dr. Phil that after his sister was brutally murdered, he rarely left his room.

“I guess I kind of like to avoid conflict, or I don’t know, I guess I just felt safer there,” he said (via Cosmopolitan). “I’m not the worried type. I guess part of me doesn’t want to know what’s going on.”

Dr. Phil’s interview with JonBenét’s older brother — once thought to be a primary suspect in her killing along with both her mother and father, Patsy and John Burke — isn’t the only show centering on her life and death set to air in the coming days. On Monday, Investigation Discovery will premiere a special called “JonBenét: An American Murder Mystery.” The miniseries aims to dive deeper into the many mysteries surrounding JonBenét’s death. It will feature interviews from former Colorado Springs detectives, several private investigators hired by Ramsey’s family, a neighbor who frequently made JonBenét’s pageant outfits and Jon Mark Karr, who famously made a false confession of guilt in the murder. The show is set to air on I.D. at 10 p.m. EDT.

Another special aired Sept. 5 on A&E and focused on JonBenét’s parents and how they dealt with the onslaught of attacks from the media amid investigation into their daughter’s death. Clips from the show, titled “The Killing of JonBenét: The Truth Uncovered,” show John admitting that he felt the media handled the case all wrong. He claimed that he, Patsy and Burke “were the victims of a lynch mob.” Although all three were rumored to have been in on the murder, none were arrested. They were partially cleared of any wrongdoing in 2003 and fully cleared in July 2008.

JonBenét was killed on Christmas in 1996. She was discovered beaten and strangled in the basement of her family’s home the following day. Some believe a predator may have taken notice of JonBenét during a pageant, while others are certain her parents and/or brother were involved.
