The Super Bowl has emerged as a platform for singers and pop icons to showcase their talent and put on an entertaining show. Although Lady Gaga is set to perform at the Super Bowl half time show this year, who will be singing the national anthem? Remember that the Golden Globe winner sung the national anthem last year.

Country singer Luke Bryan has been bestowed the honor of singing the country’s national anthem. The 40-year-old artist took to Twitter to announce the good news. He also attached a video to the tweet in which he told fans, “Hey guys it’s Luke Bryan here and I’m so excited to announce that I will be performing the national anthem at Super Bowl 51 live from NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas right here on Fox Sunday, Feb. 5.”

Bryan shot to fame with singles such as “All My Friends Say,” “We Rode In Trucks,” “Country Man,” “Kick The Dust Up” and “Strip It Down.” He has received an Academy of Country Music Award and an Entertainer of the Year award at the Country Music Association Awards. He has released five studio album to date. His latest one was called “Kill The Lights” and released in 2015.

Of course, Gaga will join Bryan in entertaining the crowd at the 2017 Super Bowl. She is busy rehearsing right now and had even built a dance floor in her backyard in order to practice her moves before the performance.

Although little monsters all over the world are excited to see the multiple Grammy award winner’s half time show performance, Kelly Rowland thinks it won’t be as good as her performance in the 2014 Super Bowl. The singer told TMZ that while she’s excited to see Gaga’s show, it won’t be as good as her Destiny Child’s performance.

The Super Bowl 51 airs live on Feb. 5 at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas on Fox.
