Why Princess Diana ‘Should Have Expected’ Prince Charles To Have Affairs

His relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles is the one which reportedly ripped their marriage apart, but a new documentary claims that Prince Charles was shocked when Princess Diana confronted him about the affair because he felt she should have expected it to happen.
In the documentary “Affairs and Infidelities,” Daily Mail columnist Richard Kay recalled a time where Princess Diana revealed to him that she had argued with Prince Charles about his affair, and he had responded in an unexpected way by stating that she should have expected it to happen because he was the Prince of Wales.
“On one occasion, Diana was relating to me an argument she’d had with Charles about his relationship with Camilla,” he said.
He then revealed Charles had replied by asking his wife, “Do you seriously expect me to be the first Prince of Wales not to have a mistress?”
When confronting her husband didn’t work, Diana reportedly went on to later confront Camilla, whom she referred to as a “Rottweiler,” when both attended a party and even recalled their confrontation in the tape recordings that were used for her 1992 biography, where she demanded answers from her husband’s mistress about the affair.
“I know what’s going on between you and Charles and I just want you to know that,” she allegedly said to Parker Bowles at the time.
Parker Bowles, who went on to marry Charles nine years after his divorce from Diana in 1996, reportedly replied to the royal “You’ve got everything you ever wanted. You’ve got all the men in the world fall in love with you and you’ve got two beautiful children, what more do you want?”
Diana allegedly replied that she wanted her husband.
However, in the end, the couple’s marriage did come to an end and they separated in 1992. They officially divorced in 1996, and Diana tragically died in a car accident in Paris one year later.
