On Friday, Marvel Studios and its president Kevin Feige gave a final answer regarding Spider-Man's future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). After a brief break up, will the two find their way back together?

According to Variety, the answer is yes. Fans of the superhero will have yet another chance to see Tom Holland reprise his role in a third installment of the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" series.

Holland took to Instagram to reveal what he thinks about the new development. In doing so, the actor shared a scene from 2013's "The Wolf of Wall Street" to his Instagram page after news broke of the decision. In it, DiCaprio's character Jordan Belfort asks, "You know what? I'm not leaving. I'm not [expletive] leaving!" It seems likely that that summarizes how a lot of fans are feeling at this time.

Amy Pascal, who will produce the new Spider-Man movie, also conveyed her satisfaction at the agreement as the negotiations ended.

"This is terrific," she said, adding, "Peter Parker's story took a dramatic turn in 'Far From Home' and I could not be happier we will all be working together as we see where his journey goes."

The previous disagreement between Disney and Sony, who acts as Marvel's parent company, was reportedly surrounding a new financing deal. As stated by Variety, "Disney wanted the film to be financed on a 50/50 basis, with Feige remaining in a consulting producer capacity." However, it appears that the two have since come to a finalized agreement that both parties find to be suitable.

"I am thrilled that Spidey's journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it," Feige shared.

The newest "Spider-Man" movie is set to be released on July 16, 2021.
