Wisconsin Teacher Had Inappropriate Relationship With 14-Year-Old Student, Sent Him Nude Photos, Jailed

A former Wisconsin teacher was sentenced to five years imprisonment Monday (April 20) for having inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old student.

The accused, identified as Sarah Heskin, taught English at the Durand-Arkansaw Middle School. In May last year, she was taken into custody following an investigation which revealed that she was in an inappropriate relationship with an eighth-grade student.

It was revealed that the teacher set up a secret Instagram account and used it to send nude photos and videos to the student. During interrogation, the accused confessed to it and also said she once kissed the boy at school. The woman was 23 at the time of the incident.

She was charged with multiple offenses including using a computer to facilitate a sex crime. She was held at Pepin County Jail and later released on a $10,000 bond. She was also terminated from the school district. Police had confirmed that there were no other victims.

In December, the accused pleaded guilty to second degree sexual assault of a child and on Monday, she was sentenced to imprisonment.

In a similar incident earlier this month, an Arizona teacher was arrested for having sex with a student. Police began investigation after receiving a report stating that a teacher and a student were “involved in an inappropriate relationship.” It was revealed that 23-year-old Garrett Sweetland and the unnamed student were “having a relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend.” Investigation revealed that the two had sex on multiple occasions. Following the investigation, the accused, who worked as a teacher with the Quartzsite Elementary School District, was arrested and charged.

In another incident, a Minnesota teacher was charged for having sex with a teen and inappropriately touching another student. A 14-year-old girl told police that the accused “touched her inappropriately over the clothing several times.” She also revealed that 31-year-old Daniel Sinclair Fragodt was in a relationship with an 18-year-old. Investigation revealed that the 18-year-old student and the teacher had sex multiple times. Following the investigation, the teacher was arrested and charged with criminal sexual conduct and also placed on administrative leave.
