They’ve never been friends and the tension between them has only continued to grow. Now, after another incident, Hilary and Lily will get into another heated confrontation. However, this time, tragedy will strike during their argument on the Wednesday, July 18 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Lily (Christel Khalil) has never been Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) biggest fan, especially considering her history with both Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Devon (Bryton James) on the CBS soap. Things have only grown tenser between them since Hilary made insensitive comments about Nate (Brooks Darnell), and since she and Devon got back together after deciding to have a baby together. Now, as both women continue dealing with the fact that Lily’s son, Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) and Hilary’s mentoree/foster child Shauna (Camryn Hamm) are growing closer, their issues with one another will reach an all-time high.

Tragedy strikes as Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Lily (Christel Khalil) continue to argue on the July 18, 2018 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”  CBS

The two teens will decide to take advantage of some alone time they have together and will opt to try and take their relationship to the next level by having sex. However, despite deciding to do things in the safety of Hilary and Devon’s penthouse, and Charlie covering his tracks with Lily, their secret will get out, and the over-protective mother will quickly storm over to confront the young couple about their decision.

Hilary will also arrive on the scene, and the two women will get into an argument over what is going on between the teens, and Lily will even venture that Shauna is a bad influence on her son and shouldn’t be left around him. After hearing that, Shauna will take off, causing the two women and Charlie to team up as they try and track her down.

However, as they drive around Genoa City looking for the emotional girl, the battle between Lily and Hilary will only continue to heat up. As Lily drives around town and yells at Hilary, she will tell her that she doesn’t deserve to be a mother. Then, since she won’t be paying attention, tragedy will strike, as they wind up in a nasty car accident.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
