He's been standing by her side and acting supportive of her as she's come under fire for allegedly stealing money from her own company. However, despite expressing that he believes she hasn't done any such thing, Nick will begin to express he has doubts about Chelsea on the Thursday, Feb. 8 episode of "The Young and the Restless."

A lot has been piling up which does seem to suggest Chelsea (Melissa Clare Egan) has returned to her con woman ways on the CBS soap. Not only did Nick (Joshua Morrow) find $250,000 hidden in the wall of her bathroom, but Chelsea has become the target of Phyllis' (Gina Tognoni) investigation into the fake mirror site that was set up to steal money from the Chelsea 2.0 sales at Fenmore's. Chelsea has insisted that Phyllis is unfairly accusing her of a crime she didn't commit, and Nick has thus far seemed to believe the woman he has built a life with.

Sharon (Sharon Case) offers Nick (Joshua Morrow) some sounds advice on the Feb. 8, 2018 episode of "The Young and the Restless."  CBS

However, he may now be wondering if he should worry that Chelsea isn't telling him the truth, and as he usually does when he's concerned by a situation, he will seek out Sharon's (Sharon Case) thoughts and advice. His ex will caution him that if he thinks there is reason to doubt Chelsea then he should trust his instincts, but he needs to follow his gut when it comes to this particular problem. Sharon will also counsel Chelsea that she needs to find ways to make sure she is keeping Nick's trust in her.

However, what neither of them know is that Phyllis' accusations against Chelsea are right on target. After learning of the Alexandra West alias that was stealing the money and seeing that Chelsea was insistent they drop the investigation, she began to have her doubts. When Sharon then told her about the money Nick found, Phyllis was sure she had found her culprit. She is now even more assured after her confrontation with Chelsea, which have done nothing the persuade Phyllis that she isn't guilty as sin.

However, while Chelsea is committing the crime, she may have a reason that no one would understand, and it could be something life-altering for everyone who comes into her life if it gets revealed.

"The Young and the Restless" airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
