Adele has officially canceled her two final shows after damaging her vocal cords.

The “Hello” singer wrote a letter to her fans explaining her decision to not push through with her last two performances at London’s Wembley Stadium. “I went to see my throat doctor this evening because my voice didn’t open up at all today and it turns out I have damaged my vocal cords. And on medical advice, I simply am unable to perform over the weekend. To say I’m heartbroken would be as a complete understatement. I’m already maxed out on steroids and aids for my voice,” she wrote (via People).

According to the publication, Adele underwent throat surgery for a hemorrhaged vocal cord in 2011. Following the successful procedure, Adele thanked her fans for all of their love and support via her website. “Thank you for all your positive thoughts and well wishes. I’m doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all. The operation was a success and I’m just chilling out now until I get the all clear from my doctors,” she said.

Last week, a letter that Adele personally wrote to her fans surfaced online after one of them found it in between the pages of her show’s program book. The handwritten note revealed that Adele may not go on tour again in the future. Even though nothing has been finalized yet, the “Rolling in the Deep” singer admitted that going on tour is now really hard for her.

Adele said a similar thing back in March during her concert in New Zealand. While in front a huge crowd, the singer said, “Touring isn’t something I’m good at. The only reason I’ve toured is you. I’m not sure if touring is in my bag. My accomplishment in my career is this tour.”

Throughout the past couple of years, Adele has already released three albums, “19,” “21” and “25,” all of which ended up becoming massive hits across the globe. Some of her most popular songs include “Someone Like You,” “Skyfall,” “Set Fire to the Rain,” “Send My Love” and more.
