Amber Heard Speaks About Split From SpaceX CEO Elon Musk On Instagram

Amber Heard and Elon Musk are still friends following their split.

Many were surprised when Heard and Musk’s breakup made headlines over the weekend. The pair who kept their romance low-key was very private when it came to their affair. Days after their split, both spoke up.

On Tuesday, in an Instagram post, the “Aquaman” star shared a series of photos that read “GIVE,” “LOVE” and “JOY.” In the caption, Heard, 31, mentioned about her being a public figure and the need to explain her whereabouts. So, she took it as a channel to explain her status with Musk after they decided to call it quits.

“Being in the public eye means having to explain yourself to so many people, so much of the time,” Heard wrote. “In this case, I’d like to remain more quiet. Although we have broken up, Elon and I care deeply for one another and remain close. Thank you for the continued support, respect, and privacy during these difficult, very human times.”

Prior to Heard’s statement, Musk already said that they are friends. On Monday, the “Justice League” star shared a photo of her on Instagram. The photo showed Heard putting a fork on her hair and the animated photo of Ariel from “Little Mermaid” combing her hair with a fork. “Put a fork in it,” Heard wrote in the caption.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Musk commented on the said post with “V cute” along with a heart emoji. The Tesla CEO made another comment and discussed their split.

“Btw, just to clear up some of the press storm this weekend,” Musk, 46, wrote (via ET). “Although Amber and I did break up, we are still friends, remain close and love one another. Long distance relationship when both partners have intense work obligations are always difficult, but who knows what the future holds.”

Prior to Musk and Heard’s statements, an insider told Daily Mail that their split was not good. “He ended it a week ago. He’d heard certain things about her behaviour that didn’t sit well with him,” the insider said. “Amber can be very manipulative and selfish. Elon’s back in LA while she’s licking her wounds in Australia.”
