Things are about to get even more chilling on “American Horror Story: Roanoke.”

Episode 2 of the FX anthology series left off with Lee (re-enactor: Angela Bassett) kidnapping her daughter Flora. It wasn’t malicious, she just wanted to see her child. Shelby (re-enactor: Sarah Paulson) tried to ease the situation by calling Lee’s ex-husband and persuade him not to involve the police. It looked as if everything was going to blow over — but then Flora went missing.

Lee, Shelby and Matt (re-enactor: Cuba Gooding Jr.) search the house and go into the woods. But Season 6 viewers know that Flora followed her ghost friend Priscilla out by the cellar in the ground. Did she go into the cellar? Or is she somewhere else? The episode concluded with Lee screaming as she spotted her daughter’s yellow sweatshirt on top of a very tall tree.

Episode 3 will pick up with Flora’s disappearance and her family searching for her.

“There is no fear like the fear of losing a child,” Lee (Adina Porter) says in the promo video for the upcoming installment.

It’s not clear if they’ll find Flora, but another scene features the police at the farmhouse. Lee’s ex could call the cops when he shows up to find Flora missing. Or the police could be at the house about another disturbance. Other clips from the promo video show Matt finding a severed body part — potentially from a pig — in the refrigerator. Another quick cut from the cameras shows the windows shattering and a butcher’s knife being slammed into the table.
