Is it too late to cast Amy Schumer in Netflix’s “Gilmore Girls” revival?

After a trailer for the upcoming installment was released Wednesday, the “Inside Amy Schumer” star took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the pop-culture infused promo video — after all, she played a large role in it!

The promo featured Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) sitting around their kitchen table — complete with coffee and Pop-Tarts — sharing their thoughts on whether Schumer would like Lorelai.

“No,” Rory responds bluntly, clearly agitating her mother. Lorelai can’t understand why her daughter would say such a thing. It’s not like she’s a humorless vampire or wreaks like that smelly corpse flower.

But Rory reassures her mom that it has nothing to do with her hygiene. In fact, she says it boils down to two words: “Water sports.”

“Every single time I see her in a magazine she’s on vacation doing water sports,” Rory says, clearly referring to Schumer’s 2015 vacation with actress Jennifer Lawrence when the famous pair were spotted leaping over waves with a jet ski.

Lorelai concurs with her daughter, saying that their friendship could never work. But Schumer begs to disagree. The actress tweeted that she “would love” Lorelai and set the record straight that she hardly partakes in water activities.

So, there you have it! Schumer is Team Lorelai — and we’re totally shipping it.

“Gilmore Girls: A Day in the Life” will stream to Netflix on Friday, Nov. 25.
