‘Animal Kingdom’ Season 4 Spoilers: Episode 6 Synopsis Released; Watch ‘Into The Black’ Promo

Smurf wants to reclaim her position as the head of the Cody family, but on “Animal Kingdom” Season 4, episode 6, she will have to track down a rat, who threatens to destroy everything she has worked for.

“Suspicion grows when Smurf (Ellen Barkin) learns of a new threat to the family,” the “Into The Black” synopsis teases. In the TNT promo video, Smurf reveals someone is talking to the cops.

After being caught at the airport with drugs in his surfboard, Adrian (Spencer Treat Clark) has been working as an informant for the cops. His double life poses a threat to his relationship and possibly to his life if the wrong person learns the truth.

It appears Smurf will tell J (Finn Cole) that there is no room for mistakes, but will he be able to help her figure out who is betraying their family?

“Craig (Ben Robson) tracks down Frankie (Dichen Lachman) in the wake of her betrayal,” the on “Animal Kingdom” Season 4, episode 6 synopsis says. In the TNT promo video, Frankie is seen approaching Craig in a warehouse.

In the previous episode, Frankie didn’t pay Craig the full amount of money she owed him from the heist. However, she did visit Smurf to give her some money, unaware, the boys never told her about the job.

Although she received her cut, Smurf later told the boys to pay her what she was owed from their heist. Will Craig’s conversation with Frankie expose Smurf’s shady behavior?

“Deran (Jake Weary) makes a dangerous decision to try and protect his relationship with Adrian,” the “Into The Black” synopsis states. In the previous episode, Deran was furious when he learned Adrian was working for a drug dealer.

Although Deran insisted he didn’t have to turn to crime, Adrian claimed he was uncomfortable living off of Deran and wanted to make his own money. Deran has no idea that Adrian has been talking to the cops, which means handling drugs are the least of his concerns. Will Deran’s decision put the Cody family’s freedom at risk?

“Animal Kingdom” Season 4, episode 6 airs Tuesday at 9 p.m. EDT on TNT.
