Banderas is one of the top Latino actors today. He has made a string of movies that went on to become blockbusters globally. Among his most popular hits are “The Mask of Zorro,” “The Legend of Zorro,” “Original Sin,” and “Once Upon A Time in Mexico,” among others.

He received $4 million as paycheck for the movie “Evita” starring Madonna and made $12 million from “The Body,” which was released in 2001, per Celebrity Net Worth. With such versatility in acting, it is no wonder Banderas soon provided his talent in voicing characters of animated movies. These films, in return, provided a stable income stream for the 60-year-old actor.

He voiced “Puss In Boots” in the “Shrek” franchise. Banderas was a part of “Shrek 2,” “Shrek the Third,” and “Shrek Forever After.” With the success of the movies, it resulted in a “Puss In Boots” spinoff in 2011. The four movies made an estimate of at least $3 billion in worldwide box office. This cemented his legacy as one of the most sought after voice talents of his generation. He won best actor at the Cannes Festival in 2019 for the movie “Pain and Glory.”

The Málaga, Andalucia, Spain native is one of the few who can navigate different roles for different genres. He can be a tough guy in one movie and voice an animal on the next. Banderas also starred in independent films and worked as a film producer. He directed a movie once, entitled “Crazy in Alabama,” starring former wife Melanie Griffith, David Morse and Lucas Black. Griffith got to keep six cars while her former husband kept two. Banderas and Griffith maintain a high level of respect toward each other despite the split.

According to CNN, the actor recently revealed he has contracted COVID-19. Banderas admitted that he feels fine and will use the time to read, write and recuperate and make plans ahead.
