Apple’s new MacBook Pro has recently been filed in the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, though there still seems to be very little details about the upcoming device. Potentially, Apple could be readying the release of this new laptop soon.

The next generation MacBook Pro filing was spotted just this week in the Eurasian Economic Commission, according to 9to5Mac. The new MacBook Pro will be a 13-inch laptop, unlike the 12-inch device most speculations have claimed. The new filing was made for the model A1990, which has not been assigned to any Apple devices in the past.

While the FCC filing sheds a little light on the new MacBook Pro, it doesn’t actually reveal all the details about the upcoming device. Aside from its size, important facts such as its performance specs and release date are yet to be confirmed.

However, speculations about the MacBook Pro claimed that it’ll receive a new design, 4K OLED panel screens, more USB and SD card ports and an improved butterfly keyboard. However, the filing was vague about its new features and redesigns so we’ll have to wait for Apple to officially reveal the new MacBook Pro.

While the release date cannot yet be pinned down, passing FCC documents means that the device is closing in on its release. The FCC document confirmed that the company has finished the device and passed all the tests needed for it to be launched in the market.

So far, Apple has been mostly focusing on its services. New device announcements have been done without much fanfare, and they are not usually the center of their press conferences and shows. Moreover, Apple has just been releasing press releases on its official site without any big events to highlight the launches.

For now, we’ll have to wait for Apple to officially unveil the MacBook Pro to see its fresh new additions.
