Just like there were signs all along this season on “The Bachelorette” that Hannah Brown was going to pick Jed Wyatt as her winner, there were also warning signs she shouldn’t have. Here are four red flags involving Jed that Hannah should have paid more attention to before the Season 15 finale of the ABC series.

He admitted he went on the show to find fame

Jed dropped a bombshell on Hannah during their first one-on-one date of this season by revealing that he initially only went on the show to further his music career. “This is like a huge platform,” he told her of his initial reason for joining “The Bachelorette.” While he said he originally only agreed to go on the show to further his career, he told her that he was started to have real feelings for her which resulted in Hannah keeping him around, despite his confession.

His mom hinted he wasn’t ready for marriage

When Hannah visited Jed’s hometown and met with his family, they revealed to her that they didn’t think he wasn’t exactly ready for a lifelong commitment. After Hannah told Jed’s mom that she was especially “excited” about her relationship with Jed, she warned her that her son’s musical aspirations may be a hindrance to their relationship.

“His path is different,” she warned.

Hannah picked up on her warning, tell the cameras, “When I asked Jed’s mom if she thought he was ready for an engagement she said that she believed that Jed had a different path for his life right now. That definitely sets off a few alarms in my head.”

During a separate talk with Jed’s sister, she shared a similar notion. “I’m very protective over Jed and making music makes him so happy. Honestly, him potentially falling in love with you, I’m not sure that’s a good thing,” she said.

Her family wasn’t sold on him

When Jed revealed that he was a musician during his first meeting with Hannah’s parents in the finale, they made it clear that they were concerned about how he would provide for her financially. When Jed revealed his “first real breakthrough” was selling a jingle to a dog food company, her dad questioned if it was the “right fit” and said he worried financial issues could wreck their relationship down the line.

During a later chat his daughter, Hannah’s father continued to speak on his concerns about Jed. He said that Jed didn’t give him direct answers and that he didn’t express an accomplishment outside of his dog food jingle. When Hannah asked to hear his other “negative thoughts” about him, he told her that he didn’t want her to “settle.”

He had a girlfriend the whole time

While not revealed to Hannah before she made her final pick in the finale, it was revealed post-show that Jed had a girlfriend during the taping. Fellow musician Haley Stevens revealed to multiple publications in June that she and Jed were in a serious relationship before he left to the film show. Echoing sentiments Jed told Hannah during the season, she claimed he only went on the show to advance his musical career and be one of her final five contestants.
