The killing spree in Season 5 of “Bates Motel” isn’t going to stop with Chick’s (Ryan Hurst) murder in last episode of the A&E series.

According to Entertainment Weekly, there will be more deaths before the series comes to a close. While it’s unclear who among the characters won’t make it alive at the end of the finale, the news outlet reported that viewers will see more of the show’s major players in the remaining two episodes of the “Psycho” prequel series. Does this mean that Emma (Olivia Cooke) will be returning to White Pine Bay soon?

According to the synopsis for the Season 5, episode 9, Emma takes care of family business as her husband Dylan (Max Thieriot) finds himself caught between his past and his future. Although it’s unclear if the family business stated in the synopsis is the Bates Motel, it seems that it’s about time for Emma and Norman to meet again before things get even worse.

Emma and Norman was last seen together in Season 3, episode 8, in which she told him that it would be best if they just remain friends. The riveting scene ended with Emma giving Norman a hug before her ex-lover ultimately pulled away.

Plot details about the series finale are being kept under wraps, but Kenny Johnson, who played Caleb on the show, told Comicbook.com last month that the events in the show’s Season 5 finale are something that a lot of fans won’t see coming. “I would say mind-blowing and unpredictable,” Johnson said when asked what viewers can expect from the finale. “You know, everyone’s already guessing, but I think, yeah, mind-blowing and unpredictable.”

Johnson added that executive producers Kerry Ehrin and Carlton Cuse did “some really genius things” with the finale. “They have all the way through and they’re trying to stay into it,” the actor said.

In February, Yahoo TV asked Ehrin how she thinks fans would react to the final scene of the series, and she replied that viewers would likely curse out loud from the shocking ending.

“Bates Motel” Season 5, episode 9, titled “Visiting Hours,” airs on Monday, April 17 at 10 p.m. EDT on A&E. The series finale (Season 5, episode 10), meanwhile, is slated to air the following Monday, April 24 in the same time slot.
