Frank Luntz, a GOP pollster and political strategist, explained that if Democratic nominee Joe Biden wins just one out of three specific states, he will be on the road to win the presidental election.

The three states include North Carolina, Florida and Ohio, Luntz told CNBC. Luntz explained his predictions while appearing on “Squawk Box” earlier this week.

“If Donald Trump wins all three of them, he’s going to be in this," Luntz said. "If Biden wins even one of those three, it’s Biden’s presidency."

The reason these states are so important is that the voting results could be in and counted as soon as early Wednesday morning, according to CNBC. Despite incomplete results around the country, this simple formula could foreshadow who will be the next president.

From early voting results, polls show Biden is leading Trump in Florida and North Carolina, but not by much. If voters remember, Trump won both of these states in the 2016 election.

While Pennsylvania, which is Biden’s home state, appears to be the deciding factor, that is only the case if Trump can win North Carolina, Florida and Ohio.

Because of the number of absentee ballots in Pennsylvania, the final count and announcement of who has won could take longer than usual. But Luntz expects the process to only take a few days.

“I think that this is not going to be resolved in 24 hours. I don’t think it’s going to take until Dec. 1. But I do think it’s going to take two or three days and people may get the wrong impression based on which votes are counted early,” he said.
