‘Big Brother’
Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf are looking forward to what’s in store for them following their stint in “Big Brother” Season 19. CBS

“Big Brother” Season 19 recently saw Paul Abrahamian nominating Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson for eviction despite Jessica already telling him that he could be wasting his power this week.

After being named as this week’s Head of Household, Jessica told Paul and the rest of the houseguests on live television that she and Cody will be safe for a few more weeks. Paul, who obviously doesn’t trust the showmance, thought that Jessica was just bluffing about her power.

Initially, Paul made some good points during his conversations with Alex Ow and their other houseguests. Paul thought that Jessica’s “Den of Temptation” would only be helpful to him. After all, Paul received the first “Den of Temptation,” and it only benefited his personal game. The same can be said when Christmas Abbott received the second reward via America’s vote.

But what Paul doesn’t know until today is that Jessica’s power, the “Halting Hex,” could stop an entire eviction ceremony from happening. This means that whoever is on the block, regardless if it’s Jessica or not, will not go home the minute she uses the power. It’s highly likely that Jessica will use the “Halting Hex” this week to protect her and Cody.

[SPOILER ALERT]

Meanwhile, before Paul made the decision to nominate Jessica and Cody, Jessica tried to tell Paul that it would be a wrong move to use his HOH on them. Jessica didn’t also want to use the “Halting Hex” this week so she wanted to prolong her and Cody’s stay in the house for two more weeks. Unfortunately, Paul did not listen. The returning vet did not also use his Power of Veto (POV) on either Jessica or Cody.

On Thursday night’s live eviction episode, Paul and the remaining houseguests will likely be shocked when Jessica announces that she and Cody will be staying for another week. Since the ceremony will be cut short, the houseguests will immediately compete in the HOH competition. If Cody or Jessica wins, they should use this third chance to finally take Paul out of the house.

“Big Brother” Season 19 will return to CBS on Wednesday at 8 p.m. EDT.
