Looks like Derek Hough has found himself a mini me! Well, sort of. After helping Bindi Irwin win the coveted Mirror Ball trophy during Season 21 of “Dancing With the Stars,” the 17-year-old Aussie native decided to thank her ballroom buddy by naming an adorable creature from the Australia Zoo after him: a koala.

Fans were shown an image of Derek Hough the koala when the zoo posted a photo of the cute, fluffy-eared herbivore to their social media accounts.

The 17-year-old “DWTS” champion recently revealed on the Aussie morning talk show, “Sunrise,” that she was excited for Hough to meet his namesake during his upcoming trip to Australia. And while it’s safe to assume that the two will bust a move during Hough’s visit down under, Irwin divulged to People magazine that she’s ready to let Hough dance a mile in her shoes.

"I feel like I am ready to kind of switch roles," the animal activist spoke of Hough’s impending journey to her homeland. “So, I'm going to teach Derek how to be with crocodiles and cuddle tigers and kiss koalas."

But it looks like sharing a smooch with a marsupial will be a walk in the park -- or should we say zoo? -- for Hough following his wild, Hawaii adventure. Hough recently shared a slew of photos from his island excursion where he snorkeled and free-swam with sharks.

“I have to admit, sharks have been a fear of mind ever since I watched shark week on the Discovery Channel. But having been shortly educated by @juansharks @oceanicramsey and actually observing the behavior first hand, you begin to see the personalities and patterns of these stunning animals," Hough captioned an up-close pictured of the toothy, ocean animal on Instagram. "I highly suggest this exprience."

Guess Irwin's wildness rubbed off on Hough after all!
